Ugh. I need to practice rendering skin more. Otherwise you end up with poop. Poop poop poop.
I'll probably finish coloring the headpiece and then leave it at that until I get the other costume concepts done. Then I'll pick one and push it farther. Hopefully I'll stop being a lazy ass and give her a different face, hair, and skintone each time.
Hot! I am really digging her face. She reminds me of Robin Wright Penn (Princess Bride) a little - maybe you can use her as a photo reference?
ReplyDeleteHer hips/waist area is pretty masculine looking - maybe pull her waist in a bit and round out the 'tops' of her hips?
She is bow-legged a tiny bit. In this position, a straight line should touch the outer peak of her inner ankle, calf, knee, and the vastus muscle. This might be confusing so I drew an example: http://imageshack.dk//viewimage.php?file=/imagesfree/ZrZ85925.jpg
I love how imposing this figure is - my hand instinctively covered my crotch (protectively) when I first looked at her. Awesome.
I think regarding the skin tone, you might want to add some more red to it.
ReplyDeleteThe face seems a little bit masculine to me too. I think you might want to make the jaw a little rounder.
Aside from that, it's coming out pretty good. I can't wait to see the headdress you've got outlined up there. Looks very interesting. Keep it up!
Nice work on the See-through cloth. Interessted in seeing the final on the head dress. Looks pretty rad.
